- 4 to 5 years working as a Machine Operator on a relevant machineQualification Diploma in Polymer / Chemical / Mechanical or any relevant advantageJob Description Job Description: Responsible for ensuring that the pipe machine is running at optimal speeds keeping in mind that preventive maintenance and other parameters are take care off before and during the run. As a result of maintaining all parameters, rejection and wastage percentages are kept at minimal levels. Ensures that communication within team and with other services (QC, stores, maintenance) departments is clear.Operating the CW machine Ensure that the Machine operates efficiently to get maximum pipes output with minimal wastage, Raw Material Usage Ensures that the resins are correctly mixed and the correct raw materials are available before commencement of production to make quality pipes. Co-ordinate with QC Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure the pipe thickness, product quality and stencil / label are meeting the design requirements.Production work flow Informs the superior about the daily out-put status to ensure schedules are met Reports any accidents, problems, mistakes or non–conformities he faces during production to inform his superior about all activities and update record. Cleanliness / Safety Ensure that his area is kept clean at all times to comply with house keeping regulations Ensure that all safety instructions are followed including the mandatory use of PPE to adhere to the EH & S regulations.Detailed knowledge of the Pipe machine and Products. Knowledge of Raw Material and associated hazards, Material Safety Data, Resin mixing / dosage. Detailed knowledge of product specifications – dimensional and visual requirements Knowledge of using measuring / tools such as Pi-Tapes. Measuring tapes, Vernier calipers*
